The GliderKeeper is available in the following versions with accessories:

The GliderKeeper Standard is designed for universal use in F5J models. The 0.66in OLED display is integrated into the logger and gives you a good overview of the altitude and flight time.
The GliderKeeper Pico is the latest logger and, thanks to its detachable display, is also suitable for the smallest of spaces. Without the display, it can also be used perfectly for the cut-off task in the F5K and F3L. The range of functions is identical to that of the GliderKeeper Standard plus the option of connecting and using additional sensors via the extension port in the future.
The GliderSync is a small automatic time module that synchronizes the GliderKeeper to world time and thus enables absolutely identical times to be compared. This enables exact take-off and landing values to be achieved. In addition, early take-offs and landing time overruns can be precisely determined.
The GliderTimer supplements the loggers with the ability to read out and collect their stored values. It can manage and evaluate a complete small competition with up to 6 participants. Completely without additional timekeepers or helpers.
The GliderTimer Pro extends the range of functions of the Gliderkeeper family to a complete, fully-fledged F5J competition with transfer of the data to GliderScore and display of the time on an LED display.
The Pico Programmer provides the user with a small interface for connecting the GliderKeeper Pico to a computer. This allows the Pico to be programmed without WiFi.

All GliderKeeper Versions are officially FAI certified as F5J Logger.

GliderKeeper is in its main function an FAI compliant F5J competition logger. GliderKeeper shows the typically required data on the built-in OLED display immediately after landing. In addition, all flights are recorded in full and can be read out quickly and conveniently on the airfield using a mobile device.

As an additional feature, the GliderKeeper also allows the actual flight time to be recorded alongside the usual measurement data. The flight time is started by starting the engine and with the help of the integrated motion sensor it is possible to record the landing exactly. Directly after landing, you can see not only the logged altitude, but also the logged flight time.

Using an optional WiFi connection, the flight data can be read out and evaluated directly on a WiFi-capable end device. This also enables fast and uncomplicated uploading to the Internet.

It is important to note that the GliderKeeper only transmits WiFi signals if this is activated by the pilot after landing. It is not possible to have the WiFi function activated during flight.

How it works:

The GliderKeeper is firmly attached horizontally to the fuselage of the model. This connection can also be realized with a Velcro strap, so that the GliderKeeper can also be used in several models. As the GliderKeeper has an integrated acceleration sensor in addition to an absolute pressure sensor, it can not only measure height, but also record movement and vibrations. This means that the GliderKeeper not only records the flight altitude but also the flight time.

Due to the precision of the GliderKeeper, the flight time is almost always identical to the hand-stopped flight time of a timekeeper. In some cases, the value differs by less than one second, which may well be due to the reaction time of the timekeeper.

OLED - Beste readability

The high-resolution OLED display is easy to read even in intense sunlight. Depending on the menu function, it shows all important data directly.

Simple positioning

The GliderKeeper only needs to be fixed in the model with some double-sided adhesive tape or a thin Velcro strip. The inside of the canopy is ideal for this.

The relevant flight data can be read out immediately after landing. If you then activate the WiFi module, you can view and evaluate the data directly on your cell phone and, if necessary, upload it to the Internet.

More Flexibility

The small OLED display is very easy to read, even in direct sunlight. It is connected to the logger's extension port via a small plug.

Always Synchronized to the Millisecond

The GK Sync, for example, can also be connected via the extension port and is thus synchronized with the world clock.

Pico Display

The Pico Display is supplied with an extension cable and a connector plug. This is very convenient if you want to connect the Pico Display to the logger after landing. This saves weight and space in the model.

Once connected, the display is activated when the GliderKeeper Pico changes its status, for example every 1.5 seconds in WiFi mode.

Pico Programmer

With a Pico Programmer you can connect your Windows PC directly via cable and perform important updates and downloads for the GliderKeeper Pico. Without having to resort to Wifi connections.

The Pico Programmer includes the adapter harness to the GliderKeeper Pico. A USB-C data cable to the PC can certainly be found in every household today.

In order to use the Pico Programmer, it is necessary to use the GliderKeeper Windows Desktop-App.

Digital and paperless recording of scoring data

If you set the GliderKeeper Pico to Wifi mode, the GliderTimer can read out the data of the current flight directly. The corresponding landing score is then entered in the meter and the next group can be launched.

GliderTimer complements our GliderKeeper in a simple and at the same time very ingenious way. While the GliderKeeper offers the classic logger functions (altitude and cut-off function) as well as the flight time and of course a detailed logging of the flight, GliderTimer offers the possibility to record this data directly after landing, to save the landing score and to transfer this data for up to six pilots directly into a competition score.

How it works:

The GliderTimer reads the ID of a GliderKeeper the first time it is connected. This can be assigned a real name directly using a cell phone, for example, so that the pilot's name is also displayed in the evaluation.

Once all participating pilots have been entered, GliderTimer can start the first round of a competition. The previously set countdown runs backwards with the preparation time. When the start signal is given, the pilots launch their models. By using GliderSync, all models are on exactly the same time signal and therefore early engine starts are also detected. After landing, the pilot or a helper measures the landing distance in meters. As soon as the GliderTimer comes to the competition pilot to record the data, the model is lifted by the tail so that the fuselage is vertical. Within a few seconds, the GliderKeeper is recognized by the GliderTimer via WiFi and sends the necessary flight data to the GliderTimer. The helper now enters the landing distance into the GliderTimer and the data recording is complete. This is repeated with all participants and then the round is completed. Of course, any over-fly is also detected and recorded in this phase.

The result is determined at the end of the selected number of laps. Of course, the intermediate results are visible at all times and can also be read out via cell phone. No delays, no manual data transfer and no input errors! Simply the result of a small competition between friends.

Competition in a Box

The Gliderkeeper Timer now maps the competition in a very small add-on device. The M5 Stack is a universal hardware that becomes a universal genius by adapting our GliderTimer. In addition to running the competition with preparation time, flight time, pilot list, etc., the GliderTimer receives the flight data from the respective Gliderkeeper and assigns it to the respective pilot for the current round.

While the GliderTimer is primarily a complementary tool for the complete management of a small-round training competition, the GliderTimer-PRO is the world's first management system that can fully and comprehensively manage an F5J competition.

GliderTimer-PRO closes the gap between GliderKeeper and GliderTimer Mini and the competition evaluation software. GliderTimer (mini) and GliderKeeper automate the timing and uploading of results. This means that transmission errors, delays or distracted timekeepers are a thing of the past!

In addition, the GliderTimer-PRO now ensures that the recorded results are loaded directly into GliderScore ©, where you can carry out all further evaluation.

This eliminates the need to have a timekeeper present for each pilot.

How it works:

Physically, the GliderTimer-PRO is an extension dongle of the GliderTimer (mini). It also has an MP3 player with a mini-jack output for the sound. There are also connections for the display panel, a larger battery and a DC power supply unit

Prepare your competition in GliderScore with the ID of the competitors' GliderKeeper.
Generate the eScore competition files.
Upload these files to the GliderTimer you expect to use.
Connect the GliderTimer PRO to the control panel and connect it to the audio and timer panel inputs.
Start the competition.
Collect the flight data from the GliderKeepers automatically using a GliderTimer.
At the end of each round, transfer the results to GliderScore's eScore competition using an internet-enabled router (your cell phone hotspot will do).
Publish or print the results from GliderScore.
