Currently we offer the LiberToy with a cross tail and in two stability versions:

Standard version is suitable for universal use on level ground and also on slopes.
Hard version is more suitable for slope use. The additional stability is mainly achieved by a stronger spar and additional Carbon inserts in the D-box.

With our models Toy and Liberty, we have had very successful specialists in their model class in our program for years.

The Toy delights many pilots, especially on slopes. It covers every spectrum from thermals to dynamic soaring, is compact, powerful and easy to handle at the same time. So many of our customers quickly asked for a larger version.

Our Liberty is a top performance model for the F5J and F3J class. The performance in thermals is impressive and it masters thermal circling all by itself. So naturally some customers asked for this performance in a more compact format.

As the name suggests, we have combined both concepts with the LiberToy. The wing has its origin in the outer wing of the Liberty. The design of this wing promises high thermal performance combined with very easy flight characteristics. In addition, the wing was equipped with four flaps and a ballast chamber was added. The fuselage is a further development of the Toy. The tailplane and the fuselage boom are directly from the Toy, while the fuselage pod was newly developed.

The result is a compact yet thermally strong all-round model. The LiberToy shows its strengths on the flat as well as on slopes. It reacts to the lightest thermals and takes them willingly. Once you have gained enough altitude, the LiberToy converts this very willingly and dynamically and thus conjures up a smile for every pilot. Even the pull-through without ballast shows the aerodynamic goodness of the wing.

Detailed Views

IDS ready Built-in as an option. Here are ChaServos HV85H frames from Servorahmen.de provided.

In the picture you can see how neatly the IDS system is installed in the LiberToy.

The fuselage nose is already adjusted to fit the optional 30mm spinner.

A ballast tube is built into the wing, with room for 4 pieces of 80g brass on each side.

Two Carbon joiners with different V-shapes are included in the delivery.

The flatter joiner with 8° makes the LiberToy agile and maneuverable on slopes.
The steeper joiner with 12° supports thermal flying and allows a more beautiful circling.
Optionally there is a 6° joiner avaliable, please order separate

The elevator/rudder combination is attached via a Carbon rod and securely fixed by a central screw.

The electric fuselage has the proven click canopy from the Toy. Also good to see are the RC connectors for the wing servos.

The split electrical fuselage is extremely far prefabricated. Even the wiring harness is already installed.

The LiberToy already has the fuselage nose cut off and adapted to a 30mm spinner upon delivery. The ALU motor mount, available as an accessory, is available for various drilling templates (currently Powerline, XPower and Reisenauer).

Now glue the frame in place using a little 2-component resin. It is essential to work with a small amount of resin so that excess resin does not stick to the rear of the gearbox. Ideally, you should wet the inside of the fuselage a little and apply the main amount of resin to the motor mount. That way, when you push it in, it pushes the excess resin out the front and not into the back of the fuselage. The excess resin is taken up directly with a rag and the fuselage is then placed on the nose to dry for about 24 hours. In this way, the resin in the fuselage also runs forward to the gluing point.

Once the resin is dry, you should get an exact fit for a 30mm spinner.

If necessary, when adjusting the engine camber, make sure that the engine is not too far up in the fuselage, otherwise the canopy lock may no longer fit.

The fuselage servos are KST X08H or KST A08H. Here you can see that for a correct fit of the A08 the mount must be ground out a bit. Once the servo is seated properly, two matching screw holes are pre-drilled with a 1mm drill.

ATTENTION: The rear servo must be installed with the output lever facing forward, otherwise there will not be enough space for the clevis later.

Here you can see the two servos ready installed. the gluing work is all done with superglue and holds very well that way.

Center of Gravity (CG): 90mm - 98mm

To install the wing servos, it is advisable to remove the control horns of the IDS system and press them onto the servo output outside the wing. It is important to set the servos to neutral beforehand and then place the IDS lever as perpendicular as possible to the servo position.

To remove the rudder horn, pull the axle wire out of the rudder horn with a small pair of pliers. Then you can lift the rudder linkage and pull the rudder horn out of its bearing.

Once the rudder horn has been removed, it can usually be pressed on cleanly with a little pressure, e.g. against the edge of a table. Please be sure to press it in as far as it will go to ensure that everything fits properly afterwards.

CAUTION: If the control horn does not slide onto the servos with moderate pressure, do not use force. It is better to check the fit of the teeth again. Sometimes there is some plastic in one or the other tooth, or you have already pressed on the rudder horn with too much pressure a tooth between the actual teeth!

The installation is then done in reverse. If the servo is in place and in neutral position vertically, the neutral positions of the ailerons already fit very well. The flaps should now be about 25°-30° down. This can be corrected later during programming with the flap settings (NOT via the zero setting!). This ensures that the flaps can also deflect vertically downwards.

An exactly fitting protective bag set is available for the LiberToy. The protective bags are cut in such a way that you can cover the LiberToy even when it is assembled and protect it from sun and moisture.

The brass ballast allows the LiberToy to be ballasted in the wing by 460g.

An IDS from Servorahmen.de can be ordered in the wing. The IDS allows a backlash-free and powerful linkage. Due to the factory installation, all that remains is to screw in the servo in the correct neutral position and to mount the servo cover.
